About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Freight Forwarder to join our growing logistics team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in international trade and freight forwarding. You will receive comprehensive training and gain hands-on experience in coordinating the movement of goods across global supply chains via air, sea, road, and rail.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the coordination and management of international and domestic shipments.
  • Supporting the preparation of shipping documentation such as Bills of Lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
  • Liaising with carriers, shipping lines, and customs brokers to track and manage shipments and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and customs procedures.
  • Inputting and updating shipment details into freight management systems and communicate with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve any logistical issues.
  • Learning about Incoterms, customs clearance procedures, and documentation requirements and assist with freight rate quotations and booking cargo space with carriers.
  • Supporting the team in general administrative and operational tasks as needed
About you
  • Strong interest in international trade, logistics, or freight forwarding.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well in a team
