Position: Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

Reporting to: Chief Information Officer/Head of IT

Our client is seeking an experienced Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead their security initiatives and ensure our information assets and technologies are protected. This is a senior leadership role, responsible for developing and overseeing our cybersecurity strategy, operational cyber risk, and resilience matters. The CISO will work closely with senior business leaders and the client's Global network to implement and maintain security frameworks, policies, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and oversee a strategic enterprise information security and IT risk management program.
  2. Work closely with senior executives to identify, mitigate, and manage IT risks.
  3. Provide guidance on security risks associated with new systems and business processes.
  4. Establish, implement, and enforce information security policies, standards, and procedures.
  5. Ensure compliance with industry best practices and international security standards (ISO, ITIL, DORA).
  6. Oversee incident response planning, security breach investigations, and related legal or disciplinary matters.
  7. Provide regular security reports and updates to senior business leaders and executive leadership.
  8. Stay up-to-date with changing cybersecurity regulations and ensure firm-wide compliance.
  9. Lead and manage the information security team, ensuring effective performance and professional development.
  10. Assess potential threats and vulnerabilities through continuous monitoring and assessment.
  11. Coordinate with business and technology teams to implement and monitor IT security risks.
  12. Develop and maintain security awareness training programs for employees.
  13. Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, trends, and best practices.
  14. Expertise in security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR.
  15. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  16. Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under high-pressure situations.
  17. Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  18. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities.
  19. Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail.
  20. Ability to manage multiple security projects and programs simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  2. Professional security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are required.
  3. Minimum of 10 years' experience in risk management, information security, and IT roles.
  4. Familiarity with security management frameworks such as ISO, ITIL, COBIT, and NIST.
  5. Proven track record of developing security policies, implementing change programs, and achieving measurable security improvements.
