As we expand our sustainability team, we are looking for a passionate and driven Sustainability Graduate to support our sustainability journey. Role Overview

As a Sustainability Graduate at Designer Group, you will be at the forefront of driving real change, actively shaping our ESG strategy and sustainability initiatives. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in data collection and analysis, sustainability reporting, and regulatory compliance, playing a key part in ensuring alignment with CSRD requirements. You will collaborate with teams across the business, gaining exposure to industry-leading sustainability practices while developing critical skills in carbon accounting, ESG performance tracking, and policy implementation. Key Tasks & Responsibilities

  • ESG Data Collection and Analysis
    • Gather, analyse, and interpret data related to environmental, social, and governance metrics as per CSRD guidelines.
    • Support carbon accounting and emissions reporting, ensuring alignment with the GHG Protocol and CSRD guideline.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date ESG records and databases ensuring compliance with relevant reporting standards.
  • Sustainability Reporting
    • Assist in preparing comprehensive sustainability reports in line with ESRS, and other relevant frameworks.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to meet regulatory and stakeholder requirements.
  • Policy and Strategy Development
    • Support the development and implementation of ESG policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate ESG considerations into business operations.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive ESG initiatives and enhance sustainability awareness through workshops and training.
  • Research and Compliance
    • Stay informed about emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental and sustainability regulations and standards.
    • Assist with research on sustainability trends and innovations.

Requirements

Education: Graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Business, or a related field. Candidates with coursework or experience in ESG reporting, data analysis, or sustainability strategy will have an advantage.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks and standards, such as CSRD, ESRS, CDP and GHG protocol is desirable.
