The Role

Financial services focused qualified senior associate to join our Audit team, working in the asset management, structured finance, capital markets and blockchain clients. This position offers challenging, interesting, and rewarding work within a global network organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering a quality audit and advice to clients in advance of deadlines and with limited supervision;
  • Contributing to and assisting in the delivery of Audit department goals including the effective and efficient planning and execution of assignments;
  • Lead multiple audit assignments concurrently and ensure the most effective and efficient use of time and resources at all times;
  • Leading, supervising and mentoring junior staff members as appropriate to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignments within agreed timeframes;
  • Reporting on audit findings, in particular, to raise any issues arising during the audit which may impact on risk to the Audit Manager/ Partner;
  • Dealing with escalated client issues from junior members of the audit team in a timely manner;
  • Executing client assignments utilising a range of audit and accounting applications;
  • Liaising with other departments, including taxation, company secretarial and consultancy in the delivery of audit services;
  • Identifying potential opportunities to provide additional value-added services to the client.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with other RSM member firms on cross-border projects and business development initiatives.
  • Providing mentorship to junior staff, and work on attracting, developing, and retaining the best talents for the firm.
The Person / Qualifications
  • Qualified ACA/ACCA accountant;
  • Previous financial services audit experience is essential;
  • Experience of CaseWare an advantage;
  • Strong technical knowledge;
  • Experience in supervising junior staff members on audit assignments;
  • Client focused with strong commercial expertise;
  • Excellent technical and interpersonal skills;
  • Team player with strong communication and leadership potential.
