Test/QA Engineer

Our vision is to shape the future of audio, connecting people to voices, stories and music wherever they are. We are launching a new state-of-the-art technology facility in Dublin, Ireland. The Dublin-based team will be a center of excellence for SiriusXM's global Product and Technology organization, focusing on software development, automotive technology and engineering, AdTech, data science, and analytics. The Software Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended. This position will be a part of the software development team. The successful candidate will have the ability to work in a cooperative manner with software engineers, product and program managers.

• Work with software engineers, program managers, requirements managers, and other product stakeholders to understand product features and the complete set of requirements to the software.
• Assist in the development manual and automated test cases.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the components and systems developed.
• Develop, maintain, and execute test cases, ensuring the quality and stability of the system throughout the project.
• Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems to ensure compliance with software/system specifications.
• Anticipate potential software problems by creating test scenarios.

• BS Engineering or SW Engineering, Computer Science, computer Engineering or equivalent experience required. MS Engineering is desired.
• 2-5 years of experience in software testing
• Experience in Mobile application testing on hardware.
• Experience in testing of HMI of infotainment systems is a plus.
• Application of software development life cycle concept.
• Knowledge of Controllers – UART, SPI, I2C, RS 232
• Experience in software development and test automation is a plus.
• Knowledge of Ruby or Python is a plus.
• Experience with Git is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
• Tester's Mindset - Strong testing acumen as well as the technical know-how to automate the work.
