The School Food Company has been in operation since 2011 and provides healthy lunch options for both Primary and Secondary school students. Our menu is prepared fresh onsite every day.

We are currently recruiting for part-time catering assistants at Scoil Chuimsitheach Chiarain, Carraroe, Co. Galway.

These positions will commence at the end of August and operate around the Secondary school calendar.

Our employees are welcomed as part of the school community. They are off during break periods: midterms, Christmas, Easter, and summer (unpaid). This may appeal to people with school-going children. We do not offer set working days; flexibility in working days is essential. This position may not be suitable for people in part-time education. The position is also subject to Garda Vetting.

The role of Part-Time Catering Assistant involves approximately 10-15 hours per week, operating on a 2-day/3-day rotation.

Shift times are approximately 8:15 am - 2:00 pm, with a half-day on Friday finishing around 12:00 pm.

The roles involve preparing a variety of rolls, wraps, ciabattas, pasta & rice dishes, serving small breaks, lunch, and cleaning down. It is a fast-paced and busy working environment.

Previous catering experience and knowledge of HACCP are advantageous.
