Financial Accountant

We are hiring a Financial Accountant for Flutter Entertainment. Location: London / Leeds / Dublin. Hybrid working – 2 days per week (Dublin only). Permanent role.

Flutter consists of two commercial divisions (FanDuel and International) and our central Flutter Functions; COO, Finance & Legal. We work with colleagues across divisions to deliver the Flutter Edge — our competitive advantage that powers our brands and divisions through Product, Tech, Expertise and Scale. In Flutter Finance we provide global expertise to ensure Flutter is financially healthy, leveraging the Flutter Edge to turbo-charge our capabilities. This role offers unique insight into the overall group with direct exposure to senior management.

The role is a key contact for the Group's overseas offices, supporting the month-end close and the delivery of financial information across the group. It will also ensure that intercompany charges and balances are recorded in line with the Group's transfer pricing policy and other management agreements.

• Support all Group management reporting processes, including the monthly management accounts close and intercompany process.
• Prepare intercompany reporting and improve processes around intercompany.
• Collaborate with tax, treasury, and legal departments to ensure completeness of loan pricing.
• Liaise with divisional finance teams to ensure clear communication and agreement regarding monthly recharges and costs.
• Produce and deliver monthly reports for intercompany, tax, treasury, and divisional reporting.
• Continuously develop reports to meet senior collaborator requirements.
• Improve the monthly close process and related outputs, working with different finance teams.
• Prepare annual statutory accounts for Flutter Entertainment plc's subsidiaries to tight deadlines in accordance with IFRS and FRS 101.
• Work with tax to ensure completeness of transfer pricing and cross charges across Group entities.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues impacting the Group.

• Qualified accountant with strong academic credentials (e.g., honours degree) and 0–2 years PQE, preferably in a plc/multinational environment.
• Solid experience delivering internal and external reporting.
• Experience in a plc environment; Oracle and Hyperion financial systems are desirable.
• Experience in a SOX-regulated environment or highly regulated industry.
• Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.
• Treasury accounting knowledge is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in a multinational finance department with multiple cultures and ways of working.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present clearly and concisely.
• Ability to plan ahead, work independently, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
• Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in a fast-paced environment.
• Interest in process improvement and automation.
