We are seeking a Qualified Practice Accountant to join a reputable Accounting Practice in Cork. This is a permanent role that offers a very competitive salary, a hybrid working week with an option for a condensed working week, benefits, and significant career progression.

This role involves managing a diverse portfolio of clients, providing accounting, tax, and compliance services. This position offers growth opportunities and is suitable for someone who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The role:
  • Client Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing responsive and accurate advice on financial matters.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review statutory financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
  • Tax Compliance: Manage the preparation and filing of tax returns, including VAT, corporate, and personal tax, liaising with the tax department as needed.
  • Audit and Accounts Preparation: Plan and complete audit assignments, prepare accounts for audit-exempt companies, and handle CRO submissions.
  • Team Supervision: Mentor and oversee junior staff members, providing guidance on complex tasks and ensuring quality control.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of accounting and audit processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Professional Accounting Qualification - ACCA, ACA or CPA
  • 3 Years PQE in a Practice role
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks), payroll systems (e.g., Thesaurus), and familiarity with ROS and CRO systems.
  • Experience in Client Facing is essential
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and client management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines
