Overview

We are looking for an experienced IT professional with 4+ years of experience in IT auditing and SOX compliance. This role focuses on ensuring robust internal controls related to financial reporting, with emphasis on IT General Controls (ITGC) and IT application controls. The IT Governance Analyst will manage ITGC framework activities, including risk assessment, planning, deficiency evaluation, and remediation. Collaboration with Internal Audit, External Audit, and cross-functional IT support teams is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

• Audit Planning and Execution: Oversee and manage compliance lifecycle components such as risk assessment and scoping, evaluation and remediation of deficiencies identified through testing, planning remediation activities, and assisting in evaluating the design of IT controls for new applications to ensure compliance.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with process and control owners to establish effective enterprise-level controls and work closely with Internal and External Audit teams to ensure cohesive testing strategies.
• Control and Compliance Management: Identify opportunities to improve the ITGC framework; create and maintain policies and procedures; perform user access reviews across key applications; identify, collect, and review SOC1 reports for third-party dependencies impacting ICFR; identify risks and update appropriate logs.
• Additional Responsibilities: Lead the execution of less complex audits; conduct interviews and process walkthroughs; produce high-quality audit documentation; identify control issues and recommend practical enhancements; communicate audit progress, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders; manage audit remediation activities with timely completion; assess control effectiveness and suggest process improvements for audit remediation.

About You
Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in IT risk and compliance, focusing on ITGCs, SOX and IT Controls.

Technical Competencies

• Proficient in managing ITGCs and IT application controls in SaaS, cloud, and on-premises environments.
• Experience with Enterprise systems (e.g., Workday, Oracle, Maconomy, Certinia) and other critical platforms.
• Knowledge of COBIT and their application in IT compliance.

Certifications

• Relevant certifications such as CGEIT or CISA are desirable.

Skills

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex IT issues to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Experience in or with publicly traded companies, Big Four audit firms, or similar is advantageous.
