As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Jacobs, you'll help solve complex ground engineering challenges across major infrastructure projects in Transportation, Utilities, Advanced Facilities, and Environmental sectors. You'll lead or support geotechnical input across all project stages, providing technical guidance, mentoring junior staff, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibilities
  • Lead or support geotechnical input across all project stages, providing technical guidance and mentoring junior staff.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on major infrastructure projects in Transportation, Utilities, Advanced Facilities, and Environmental sectors.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of ground engineering solutions and innovative approaches.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Geology / Engineering Geology / Geotechnical Engineering.
  • A commitment to pursuing chartered status in the foreseeable future.
  • Adherence to Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations.
  • Experience with geotechnical software such as SlopeW, OpenGround, etc.
  • Experience with mapping/drawing software – ArcGIS, Project Mapper, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.
  • Experience in preparing Ground Investigation Tender packs, scoping Ground Investigations, and preparing Specifications and Bills of Quantities.
  • Experience in geotechnical design and reporting.
  • Experience working on-site with Ground Investigation contractors and understanding of common Ground Investigative techniques, standards and equipment.
