Hours: 6 hours/week (2 evening clinics)
Schedule:
Tuesdays: 18:00 – 21:00
Thursdays: 18:00 – 21:00
The Sexual Health Service for Donegal, Sligo, and Leitrim provides free, confidential Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM) services to key at-risk populations. Consultant-led and nurse-supported, the Sligo clinic operates two evening clinics weekly and has been active since 1996.
Role Overview:Provide clinical support in the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of clients attending the Sligo Sexual Health Clinic for STI-related services. The position is integral to the delivery of quality care in a multidisciplinary team setting.
Key Responsibilities:Attend and deliver clinical services during scheduled evening clinics
Conduct sexual health assessments and genital examinations
Diagnose and treat STIs; prescribe and administer PrEP, doxyPEP, and vaccinations
Collaborate with Consultants and nurses in delivering care
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and support team protocols
Irish Medical Council registration (current)
Clinical experience in sexual health, STI, or GUM services
Team-oriented with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Right to work in Ireland
