Role Description
3 days per week in Wexford , 2 days elsewhere in Leinster. With full and part time roles available
This full-time on-site Health and Safety Consultant role is based in Wexford. The consultant will provide expert advice to clients on Health & Safety and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) compliance, conduct site visits and audits, and prepare clear reports and action plans. Daily responsibilities include developing and implementing safety management systems, risk assessments, and safe work procedures tailored to client operations. The role involves designing and delivering training programmes, supporting clients with NEBOSH-aligned best practices, and assisting with incident investigation and corrective actions. The consultant will collaborate with client teams and internal colleagues to ensure consistent standards, maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, and contribute to continuous improvement in safety performance.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge, with practical experience applying regulations in workplace settings.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and broader HSEQ practices, including risk assessment and compliance monitoring.
- Candidates should possess NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualifications and a solid understanding of relevant UK and Irish legislation and standards.
- Candidates should possess skills in designing and delivering Training programmes, including engaging safety workshops and toolbox talks.
- Candidates should possess excellent communication, report-writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex requirements clearly.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to audits and inspections.
- Experience in consultancy, utilities, construction, or industrial environments, along with a full driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites, is beneficial.
- A relevant degree or diploma in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field, along with professional memberships (e.g.,NEBOSH, IOSH, IIRSM), is an advantage.
