This Management position is within the Investor Services unit and is responsible for managing and running an Investor Services Client Operations team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Investor Services Client Operations, the role interacts with professionals at all levels. Candidates should have a high level of understanding of Alternative Funds and the transfer agency processes for these structures.
What you'll do- Ensure on-target and on-time delivery of operational deliverables and reporting for all clients.
- Develop and maintain premium client service quality to ensure high client referenceability for clients assigned to the team.
- Demonstrate SME expertise in alternatives funds servicing, including complex structures and calculations.
- Ensure accurate and complete data is processed and maintained in various systems for all clients.
- Review and approve transaction processing, cash processing, reporting and investor eligibility checks in accordance with regulatory and fund guidelines.
- Enforce adherence to service standards and deadlines.
- Adhere to company procedures at all times.
- Perform quality control checks and approval on client and investor correspondence and reporting.
- Represent Investor Services with clients to maintain strong relationships.
- Assist the Senior Manager, and occasionally the EMEA Head of Investor Services, in growing the Investor Services unit (sales pitches, hiring, developing workflows, operating models and best practices).
- Continuously review controls to mitigate risks.
- Review manual processes to identify automation and efficiency opportunities.
- Resolve queries, problems and errors in a timely manner with documentation.
- Ensure a seamless operational transition for new and converted funds from implementation to production.
- Provide regular communication and progress updates to Senior Management on client issues, meetings and project initiatives.
- Coach and manage staff on systems, processing, procedures and responsibilities.
- Assist in hiring, training, coaching and mentoring new employees and motivate staff within the sub-unit.
- Provide input on ongoing performance and development for employees.
- Organize and run team meetings; drive idea generation, project execution, process improvement and problem solving.
- Maintain good working relationships with external clients, investors and internal teams.
- Assist in developing and implementing departmental procedures.
- Carry out duties under the Company's Safety Statement to ensure health, safety and wellbeing for all employees with responsibility.
- Work on projects and ad-hoc tasks as required.
- At least 8 years' experience in a transfer agency role, with at least 3 years in Alternatives / Hedge Funds.
- At least 5 years in a managerial role (minimum AVP level) with a proven track record.
- Experience with FIS NTAS and/or Investran, transfer agency and accounting systems, is essential.
- Knowledge of alternatives fund structures and regulatory requirements across fund domiciles (Ireland, Luxembourg, Cayman, etc.).
- Understanding of Private Equity concepts (capital calls, sub-closures, equalization, distributions, waterfall calculations) is advantageous.
- Understanding of AML regulations of various jurisdictions.
- Fluency in English (verbal and written) is essential.
- PC proficiency; third level degree qualification.
- Strong oral, written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong coordination and relationship management skills.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills.
- Initiative and ownership of responsibilities.
- Positive, problem-solving attitude with attention to detail.
- Team player with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize work and meet strict deadlines.
