Position: Health Care Assistant

Location: Charleville, Cork

Employment type: Full Time / Part-Time Roles available

Salary: Health Care Assistant Section 39 pay scales (premiums additional payment to the set hourly rate)

About The Role

We are seeking compassionate and enthusiastic Health Care Assistants to join our team for our Respite Home in Charleville, Co. Cork. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with disabilities, ensuring their comfort, safety and well-being while promoting their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality person-centred care to children using our services, supporting their physical, emotional and social needs.

Assist with daily living activities.

Engage children in recreational and social activities.

Foster a warm and supportive environment for children and their families.

Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and promote the safety and welfare of all children using our services.

Work collaboratively with the team to implement individual support plans and provide consistent support.

Requirements:

Possess minimum FETAC / QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support, QQI Level 5 in Childcare, QQI Level 5 SNA or equivalent (Major Award).

A genuine passion for caring for children with disabilities.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Flexibility and a team-oriented approach to work.

Relevant experience in a care setting is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.

A full clean driver's licence is essential.
