Job Description: Full time 39 hours per week, Pay Rate 30.000 per annum

As a Health Care Assistant, you will:

  • Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and eating.
  • To assist in maintaining safe levels of care and ensuring safe practice
  • To liaise with and carry out the instructions of the nurse in charge and other allied professionals.
  • To promote the physical, emotional, social and intellectual well being of residents
  • Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients.
  • To work in accordance with any regulations pertinent to the safe running of the home i.e. Safety, Health and Welfare at work Act 1989, HIQA, HSE,

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, minimum 12 months experience
  • QQI Level 5 Award in Healthcare
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
