AVP - Application Support Analyst (Lease Support)

AVP - Application Support Analyst (Lease Support) at SMBC Group. This role sits with Sumitomo Mitsui Finance Dublin Limited (SMFD), a subsidiary of SMBC, and focuses on Lease Finance within the EMEA Application Management team. You will work with product owners and business users to ensure the seamless operation of critical business applications that underpin the Lending business.
What you'll do- Maintain the reliability of key business applications used by the Lending division. Begin each day with comprehensive system checks to ensure platforms are ready for business use.
- Respond promptly to incidents reported via ServiceNow, ensure swift resolution, and keep stakeholders informed throughout the process.
- Collaborate with colleagues across locations to foster a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
- Participate in change management processes, liaise with vendors for software updates or escalations, contribute to testing new enhancements, and maintain meticulous records of all activities.
- Follow ITIL-aligned procedures and leverage tools like Jira for sprint planning to drive operational excellence and support ongoing improvements across the Lease Finance technology landscape.
- Educational background in IT, Business Information Systems, or Finance is beneficial, but the priority is your ability to apply analytical thinking to evaluate complex technical issues.
- Comfort working with vendor-supplied platforms (e.g., Alfa v6, LEAF) and internally developed solutions powered by SQL.
- Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and best practices for handling incidents or changes.
- Ability to liaise professionally with third-party vendors during release cycles and build strong working relationships.
- Attention to detail in morning system checks and in documenting actions taken throughout the day.
- A commitment to delivering dependable support so business users can rely on technology daily.
