BIM Manager

We are recruiting a BIM Manager to join our building division in Limerick. Reporting to your assigned segment's Digital Project Solutions (DPS) Business Partner within a matrix structure, the purpose of this role will be to implement and manage the use of digital tools to capture, share, and use information to enhance project/contract delivery. This role is responsible for service delivery of project or contract information management and tactical deployment of project-based technology.

Management Responsibilities

• Manage pipeline and workload to deliver the appropriate service to meet customer needs and liaise with DPS Digital Engineering & Production, and DPS Support to agree and deliver appropriate resource and service to projects/contracts.
• Ensure detailed knowledge of client and business requirements and expectations, implementing appropriate plans, specifications, reviews, and controls.
• Work in accordance with relevant industry standards, codes of practice, company procedures, and legal requirements.
• Maintain high safety, environmental, and quality standards and report any non-compliance.

Leadership

• Lead and communicate risk, opportunity, change, and commercial impact to the project/contract team, ensuring it is recorded according to BAM procedures.
• Facilitate training and support for information management, including the CDE, for the project/contract team and stakeholders.

Information Management

• Lead and coordinate the delivery of Project and/or Asset Information Model(s), as specified in the Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and BAM's ISO 19650 protocol.
• Support the development of the Appointing Party's ISO 19650 protocol and related deliverables where BAM is the Appointing Party.
• Establish and lead systems for managing, sharing, and storing information securely throughout the project lifecycle, including archiving and disposal.
• Ensure excellent communication with all stakeholders.
• Work with legal and commercial teams to incorporate Information Requirements, Standards, Methods, and Procedures into agreements and contracts.
• Develop and maintain the project/contract ISO 19650 protocol and related deliverables to meet project goals and EIRs.

• Leadership skills within a team environment.
• Effective time management, efficiency maximization, and ability to meet challenging goals.
• Experience in digital construction/facilities management and document management.
• Experience in the design and construction industry and tendering process.
• Contributions to prequalification and tender submissions.
• Extensive knowledge of ISO 19650 series.
• Higher education in Construction or related fields.
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience on construction projects/FM contracts with digital solutions experience.
• Alignment with BAM UK&I Values.

Knowledge Area

• Experience with 4D programmes to understand construction sequences and support risk reduction.
• Knowledge of 5D Forecasting, linking programme, model, and cost.
• Data validation techniques for construction information.
• Development of BEP templates to meet project requirements.
• Mapping information flow in inputs, processes, and outputs.
• Interface skills between digital software and technology.
• Proficiency in quality documentation management, e.g., BEP and MIDP.
• Experience in managing federated 3D models for project and role requirements.
