As a Designer in our womenswear team, you will be accountable for department trend identification and application. Collaborating with fellow product designers across the business you will create fashion forward, commercial and global ranges that identify with the Primark brand. You will promote the delivery of innovative, new product opportunities.

You will work alongside Buying and Merchandising functions to create product that will surprise and delight our customers whilst remaining commercially relevant. You will build effective communication channels with your stakeholders in key range building meetings, ensuring to represent the Design community's vision and direction.

What You'll Do

We want you to feel challenged and inspired. Here, you'll develop your skills across a range of responsibilities:
  • Accountable for trend identification and application for Primark's Womenswear range
  • Methodically research colour/trend direction and shape. Prepare trend information "in looks" and also commodity shape libraries
  • Present trend predictions through mood and trend boards to Buying, Merchandising and Design Leadership
  • Responsible for making effective, commercially viable decisions related to range building for sign off at leadership levels, which support the delivery of product ranges.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Junior Designs
  • Collaborate with fellow product designers across the business to create fashion forward and commercial global ranges that identify with the Primark brand.

What You'll Bring

We want every person in our organisation to feel like they're making a key contribution. Here are some of the experiences and skills you'll need for the role:
  • 5 years of experience in a Womenswear Design role with at least 2 years in a people management/team lead position.
  • Performance and Leisurewear design experience
  • Relevant qualification in fashion design or equivalent experience
  • Thorough working knowledge of Adobe Software including Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Thorough understanding of seasonal trends with the ability to translate this in both a creative and commercial manner in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in growing and guiding a team
