Job Opportunity: Engineering Manager

Currently hiring for an experienced Engineering Manager to work on capital works, small works & maintenance projects at a large pharma facility in the west of Ireland.

The ideal candidate will have a background in Building Services, Mechanical, or Construction, with experience in delivering and planning small works projects within a pharmaceutical or clean room environment. With significant upgrade works planned over the next few years on a phased basis, you should be comfortable managing and appointing contractors, and liaising with stakeholders ranging from internal senior management to external engineering companies.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Conducting in-depth analysis of current facilities.
  2. Managing the implementation of the Capital Expenditure program.
  3. Ensuring all projects comply with health, safety, environmental, quality standards, and procurement policies.
  4. Providing innovative solutions, pre-engineering activities, and project cost estimates for strategic and capital projects.
  5. Managing all stages of each project from planning to completion throughout the project lifecycle.
  6. Drafting and submitting budget proposals, delivering progress reports, and managing project resources.
  7. Providing leadership and direction to the project team, delegating projects, and setting priorities.
  8. Ensuring proper handover to operations upon project completion, including safety, training, and communication aspects.
  9. Developing and implementing maintenance, engineering, and capital spend plans.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Engineering Manager with extensive upgrade experience and the desire to build and develop an engineering team. It would suit a Project Manager currently working with a Mechanical/Electrical Contractor or General Contractor in cleanroom construction.
