About The Role
At Tate the need to support our key stakeholders with the right level of product and installation information is key to retaining and growing our future business. An exciting new role has opened up to spearhead this function within our Global Marketing team. We are looking for an experienced leader to develop and execute a strategy starting in Europe and then globally to deliver key training courses and material on our Tate solutions. While our primary need is ceilings, the role will evolve to include the full suite of products across our range and regions. The ideal candidate is an engaging trainer who can simplify complex learnings and provide practical content development. The role requires independent and collaborative work across teams and regions, with initiative to accelerate the plan. Strong communication and the ability to work in a fast paced environment with multitasking and delivery focus are essential.
Product Training Department Strategic Direction
- Lead the product training department strategy across markets and product sets in line with business priorities.
- Collaborate with EU engineering teams to gather insights and evolve best practice solutions.
- Build the team and infrastructure to execute the plan.
- Monitor performance and share insights with the senior leadership team on the impact of training in line with KPIs.
Product Training Programme Development
- Work collaboratively across digital marketing and insights, sustainability, commercial, manufacturing and engineering teams.
- Lead the workflow ensuring materials, manuals, documents and assessments comply with marketing policies, languages and Tate brand guidelines.
- Implement and manage an effective document storage process ensuring internal and external training documents are readily available.
Delivery of training
- Conduct engaging and effective training sessions for both new and existing customers, transferring Tate product knowledge in a manner that suits the customer (onsite, in Tate facilities, or online).
- Ensure consistency of training material as new trainers are onboarded.
- Utilise various instructional methods including hands-on training, workshops, and e-learning to cater to diverse learning styles.
- Support the rollout of our new Customer Experience centre in all regions.
Technical Expertise
- Stay abreast of industry advancements related to manufacturing equipment, product innovation, NPD and sustainability.
- With HR partners, develop internal product training materials for various internal teams.
- Provide technical support and guidance to employees, addressing queries effectively.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Implement assessments to measure the effectiveness of training programs.
- Measure updates and engagement of training.
- Create reports and feedback for the business on training sessions.
- Gather trainee feedback and continuously improve training content based on evaluations.
Education
- BSc in Engineering or equivalent.
- Relevant certifications in training, instructional design, or leadership can be advantageous.
- Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends and incorporating best practices into training programs.
Experience
- Extensive experience in training and development roles, with progressive responsibility within the data centre or construction/manufacturing industry, including leadership or managerial experience.
- Familiarity with the specific industry and understanding of training needs within that context.
Skills
- Leadership: Ability to lead and inspire a training team, set strategic direction, and drive performance while acting as a self-starter where a team is being developed.
- Communication: Excellent ability to convey training objectives and feedback to diverse audiences with attention to detail.
- Training Delivery: Proficiency in delivering engaging sessions, both in-person and online, with willingness to travel as required.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Skill in designing assessment methods to measure training effectiveness and adjust programs.
- Adaptability: Flexible to evolving business needs and industry trends.
- Project Management: Ability to manage training projects from concept to completion, meeting timelines and objectives.
- Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to align training with organizational goals.
- Technology Aptitude: Familiarity with LMS and training tools; guide adoption of latest trends; familiarity with ERP and CRM systems.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify gaps and develop solutions with a can-do attitude.
- Pace: Excellent time management and organization, able to multitask in a proactive way.
