Material Quality Inspector

Our Client is a Multinational Manufacturer of Medical Devices and they have instructed us to hire a Material Quality Inspector for an 11 month contract role. This role will require availability for shift work (Mon – Fri 07:00 – 15:30 and 15:00 – 23:30).

Salary: to €35,500 (pro rated) + Bonus

Benefits: Bonus, Parking, Flexible Hours, Subsidised Canteen, Overtime

Total Package: up to €40k

Do you have:

  • Experience in quality inspection
  • A third level qualification (Certificate/Diploma/Degree) in Quality Management, Mechatronics, Electronics or Mechanical Engineering (QQI level 6 or above will work)

Key Experience / Qualities:

  • Mechanical, Mechatronic and Electromechanical measurement systems – Advanced
  • Inspection Methodologies such as PCBA Visual Inspection (IPC-610), Fabricated/Machined Metal Mechanical / Visual inspection, Precision linear measurement, non-contact measurement, Molded and Machined plastics inspection and measurement, Inspection and Measurement of Lens and focal length.
  • General Inspection to Drawing; Commercial off the shelf components, inspect against vendors item or model number
  • Geometrical Tolerancing (e.g. true position, perpendicularity, concentricity, angularity, roundness etc)

Duties:

  • Provide inspection support in the areas of Component and Mechatronic Inspection supporting manufacturing.
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) and lot inspection activities.
  • Support suppliers in helping deliver quality product to internal customers, through product & process investigations & evaluations.
  • Support technology transfer initiatives and new product introduction projects.

You must be able to:

  • Be an integrator who will be comfortable with production related demands.
  • Assess Supplier capability to meet quality requirements to ensure supplier processes are a fit with internal requirements.
  • Check specification and tolerances when requested from either production or suppliers and complete the associated dispositions.
  • Participate in design changes of component and assemblies to enhance product and reduce operator error.
