Overview

Catering Assistant ¦ New Ennis Plaza (M18) – Supermac's. The Plaza Group is one of Ireland's leading independent motorway and primary route services groups. The Plaza Group was formed by the managing directors of Supermac's, Pat and Úna McDonagh, who have over 40 years of experience in the sector, offering world-class food and retail services. We are opening a new Service Station at Ennis (M18), Co. Clare, later this autumn. Our core brands include Supermac's, Papa John's Pizza, SuperSubs outlets, Mac's Diner Deli and Barista. We are committed to maintaining the traditional values that the Supermac's name has become synonymous with, using locally sourced ingredients wherever possible and providing quality in every aspect of preparation. We are the only quick-service restaurant to use fresh, never frozen 100% Irish beef and chicken.

Job Purpose

The Team member provides ongoing support to the Management Team to ensure Supermac's customers receive the best quality, service, and cleanliness each time they visit a Supermac's restaurant. The Team Member must interact with customers, staff, and management in a friendly and efficient manner to achieve this result. It is the responsibility of the team member to carry out duties in compliance with training and the standards in the Employee Handbook. The purpose of the role is to serve our customers quality food they order as quickly as possible, in a friendly manner, ensuring the accuracy of the order every time.

Responsibilities
  • Working in an area to comply with company standards, adhering to safety/quality aspects, ensuring consistency every time.
  • Working as part of a team, treating all staff and management with respect.
  • Following company guidelines/training in all aspects of food preparation, production, and storage.
  • At all times, portraying a professional image, both on and off the premises.
  • Treating customers to warm and friendly service every time they visit our restaurant.
  • Working with the management team to increase the number of customers and the amount of money spent daily in our restaurant.
  • About cash handling, ensure correct procedures are followed as directed by management.
  • Ensuring uniform and personal appearance, complying with company guidelines.
  • Flexibility to work in all areas of the restaurant as requested by the Manager.
  • Constantly putting the customer first, whether first thing in the morning or last thing at night.
Work Environment

Fast-paced, "non-stop" environment. The role can be physically demanding at times, depending on the volume of business and the number of staff available during busy periods. Teamwork is essential to ensure the procedure runs smoothly in all areas, and communication flows.
