Snr Associate/Manager

The ExploR&D Pharmaceutical Project Manager (PPM) will provide operational drug development leadership across the External Innovation R&D portfolio. This includes partnering with ExploR&D Program Leads to ensure implementation readiness, program oversight and support external partnerships for collaboration projects including both clinical and preclinical deliverables. This role may liaise with ExploR&D Business Development and Discovery Program Leads to enable seamless program transitions.

• Facilitate and support ExploR&D Collaboration Portfolio Delivery
• Plan, direct and lead cross-functional team meetings including agendas, minutes and follow-up actions
• Communicate with external partners to drive alignment and action items for program deliverables
• Provide quality and timely content (agendas, meeting minutes) in collaboration with the ExploR&D Program Lead and functional team members
• Utilize project management tools (e.g., PRISM, SmartSheet, PowerBI, internal financial systems) and ensure access to information for all team members
• Monitor and prioritize program risks, contribute to mitigation strategies and initiate contingency plans
• Ensure change management processes to manage project scope, cost, schedule and value
• Develop integrated project plans aligned with collaboration agreements and oversee milestone delivery
• Monitor programs and milestones to ensure deliverables align with the integrated development project plan and quality standards
• Drive financial accounting across programs, provide internal reports, resolve discrepancies, and work with finance on partner invoicing
• Lead cross-functional workstreams to deliver on project commitments
• Demonstrate self-management and organizational skills; set priorities and adjust as needed
• Foster strong interpersonal and teambuilding skills with diverse external partners
• Demonstrate curiosity and creative problem solving

• Lead through shared learning and process improvement; address special/complex needs
• Share learnings and retrospectively review lessons learned

• Four-year degree in a health-related, scientific or engineering field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, drug development, or project management

• Higher degrees or certifications (e.g., MS, MBA, Master's in Project Management or PMP)
• Demonstrated scientific and technical leadership in cross-functional environments
• Knowledge of the external biotech/VC landscape and drug development processes
• Experience with project management tools and maintaining project documentation
