Mechanical Project Engineer

Our client, a major Mechanical / Engineering Services contractor, is looking to recruit a Mechanical Project Engineer for their Longford-based project. This will be a long-term role in the region as the company has a presence in the Midlands with ongoing works and contracts with clients in the pharma sector.

Skills and Requirements

  1. Relevant third level qualification in Mechanical / Building Services, with a minimum of 2 years experience post qualification in a contracting environment essential.
  2. Knowledge and understanding required of HVAC Systems and P&ID's.
  3. Knowledge and understanding required of Piping Systems & P&ID's.
  4. Familiar with the use of project planning tools and inputting progress back into the project master plan.
  5. Familiar with the use of BIM and operating Navisworks Models or similar.
  6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office essential, plus use of large QA database systems.
  7. Experience of typical project engineering functions, such as preparing technical submittals, RFI's, etc.
  8. Site Walkdowns - QA/QC.
  9. Work closely with the site Construction Teams throughout the installation process, preparing installation works packs, etc.
  10. Ability to work both individually and as part of a multi-functional team.
  11. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well under strict deadlines essential.
  12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary.
