Summary

We are looking for a talented Software Developer Engineer in Test (SDET) or Software Developer to join our Artificial Intelligence teams and help build products and services that bring the benefits of innovative technology to Genesys Customers. As an SDET, you will design and develop automated test frameworks and cloud-based test infrastructure to guarantee the quality of our software deliverables. You will work within a cross-functional development team to ensure scalability and availability of the platform and deliver high-quality code. Candidates should be proficient in at least one object-oriented programming language and able to quickly learn new techniques and languages. While SDETs focus on automation, they should understand how their work integrates with other groups to provide value to customers. The role has a strong focus on Continuous Delivery with a DevOps mindset, including technologies such as Jenkins, AWS, and Docker.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Senior SDETs and DevOps engineers to expand existing test automation solutions and create new ones.
• Write automated functional acceptance tests at the API and UI level.
• Maintain automated test jobs in automated deployment pipelines.
• Perform Exploratory Testing to ensure functional and usability integrity.
• Conduct Performance/Load Testing to ensure the product meets scalability needs.
• Contribute as a delivery team member within an Agile Scrum framework, representing testing and quality assurance concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines
• 2 years of experience in Software Development in Test or Software Development
• Experience in at least one OO language (Python, Java, JavaScript)
• Experience with UI test automation frameworks (Playwright, Selenium)
• Experience working within Agile software development
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• DevOps mindset with championing Continuous Delivery practices
• Curious, self-driven, and proactive in asking questions

Desirable Skills

• Experience with API test automation frameworks (Requests, REST Assured)
• Experience with JavaScript/Playwright-based UI test frameworks
• Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins or similar)
• Experience with web applications and microservices
• Experience with Amazon Web Services
