Advanced Test Development Engineer

The successful candidate will have responsibility for one of our test facilities and over time this will rotate between each facility so as to become familiar with all aspects.
This includes responsibility for testing; data acquisition, processing, analysis and reporting of results; correct identification and timely reporting of problems; working as part of the wider engineering team to resolve issues.
Key Objectives:
- To participate as a key member of the test engineering team of engineers & technicians.
- Management of test units and testing within area of responsibility.
- To set-up instrumentation and data acquisition systems in support of testing activities.
- Analysis of test results and reporting of same to the test team and wider engineering team.
- Documentation and reporting of test issues (FRACAS) originating from Test Units in R&D Test facilities.
- To utilize customer operating profile data to develop field representative system level test patterns.
- To identify and drive ongoing development of the test facility and processes.
- Design, commissioning, and maintaining a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test system for software validation and verification.
- To plan & manage the availability of test units vs. test requests from the R&D engineering teams for area of responsibility.
