The main role for the Accounts Receivable Manager at NFP is to lead the Accounts Receivable function In Ireland to complete the accounting practices for the incoming receipts for the certain divisions within the NFP Ireland group of companies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Incoming commissions – Manage the Accounts Receivable team to ensure all incoming commissions for various business lines (Employee Benefits, Wealth, HR advisory) are recorded accurately and in a timely fashion
- Invoices – With the support of the wider team, ensure sales invoices are raised and issued as required for the business
- Budgeting/forecasting – Work with the wider finance team to help build the annual budgets and reforecast as required throughout the year
- Assist in the completion of audit requests as required
- Support the wider finance team in the preparation of month end reporting documents as required
- Lead the build out of the Accounts Receivable function for the NFP Ireland Group of entities
- Lead the team in supporting transformation activity across the group to improve and streamline finance processes
- Support with ad-hoc finance projects as required
- Regularly review Aged Debtors and ensure credit control procedures are followed
- Liaise with Sales team and Consultants on significantly outstanding debts to identify potential actions/provisions required
- Chasing commission revenue not received as expected
- Supporting the wider team with cash flow forecasts as required
Good communicator - Able to communicate effectively across the business with colleagues, via e-mail and face to face. Provides good impression when dealing with debtors and able to influence these groups to ensure own workload is fulfilled.
Excellent organiser – including time management and prioritisation
Manages own time effectively and able to manage the expectations of other stakeholders regarding delivery timescales. Keep line manager informed of delays and adheres to deadlines.
Activity oriented - Works at a fast pace but doesn't sacrifice attention to detail, enjoys being busy.
Attention to detail - Ensures that work is checked thoroughly and picks up on small errors. Able to compare numerical and written information and spot patterns and/or discrepancies.
Education And/or Experience
- Accounting experience in a fast-paced working environment
- Experience with credit control
- Experience with Excel
