Job Description:

Work Flexibility: Onsite

Perform testing on medical device products and components using automated, semi-automated, and manual methods. Follow test request protocols and report results primarily in writing, also verbally. Evaluate data and understand attributes of product and component performance.

Throughout the placement, you will be part of Stryker's 2025 Cooperative cohort. Tasks may include:

  1. Identify process improvement projects with your team leader and supervisor, defining objectives, scope, milestones, and success metrics.
  2. Support R&D, Advanced Operations, and Global Quality Operations in testing and verification of products.
  3. Develop and coordinate inspection and testing procedures for prototypes, components, and products.
  4. Formulate test guidelines, procedures, and recommend revisions to specifications as needed.
  5. Conduct experiments in compliance with FDA regulations and engineering standards.
  6. Document and report test findings in accordance with standards.
  7. Assist in designing and maintaining testing systems and equipment.
  8. Maintain documentation and laboratory standards.
  9. Coordinate with facilities for equipment maintenance.
  10. Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, initiative, and teamwork.

Requirements:

  1. Currently enrolled in an Irish or Northern Irish university in Engineering or related fields such as Mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical, Electronic, Research & Development, Product Design, Manufacturing, Industrial, Computer Science, Robotics, Biochemistry, Automation, Data & Analytics, Materials Science, Medical Device Design, Chemistry, Packaging Engineering, or relevant studies.
  2. Excellent visual acuity and fine motor skills for inspecting products.
  3. Ability to analyze and resolve complex testing or system issues independently.
  4. Honesty, integrity, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  5. Self-motivated, flexible, hardworking, and a team player.
  6. Enrolled at a university for the placement duration; available for 6, 9, or 12 months.
