Overview

Graduate Mechanical Engineer role at Stantec. Location: Dublin/Galway/Cork/Castlebar. We are seeking a driven graduate engineer to join our Ireland-based consultancy, delivering infrastructure solutions across water, wastewater, energy and environmental management. You'll join a supportive team and gain hands-on experience from planning and design to on-site implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver solutions for clients across water, wastewater, energy and environmental management projects.
  • Work on high-profile projects from planning and design phases to on-site implementation.
  • Collaborate with experienced professionals to learn and grow within the graduate cohort of 2026.
About You / Qualifications
  • Qualified, or soon to be qualified, with a third-level degree qualification (level 7 or higher in the National Framework of Qualifications) in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Adapter: you're able to remain calm in new and changing situations, comfortably switching between a variety of dynamic and exciting tasks.
  • Perseverer: you stay composed in the face of setbacks, approaching challenges with confidence and determination.
  • Collaborator: you have strong communication skills and work effectively with many different people, considering others' perspectives to shape better outcomes.
  • Problem-Solver: you love to share your thoughts based on what you see, and are unafraid to challenge conventional thinking.
  • Driver's licence would be a distinct advantage as some site visits may be required.
