We currently have an exciting opportunity for a New Business Development Manager to join our Field Sales team at Bunzl McLaughlin covering Cork City Centre and the Greater Cork Area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a sales professional who is keen to grow and develop a sales area within a thriving business. Sales experience within HoReCa and Foodservice industry would be advantageous.
Being successful in this role means:
- Having strong communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to build good working relationships.
- Previous experience of growing and developing a sales territory.
- Good listening skills with the ability to show empathy with customers to gain trust and establish rapport.
- Being self-motivated and persistent with the drive to succeed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Grow our market share with the area assigned.
- Populating customer management information on Salesforce.
- Key lead in managing customer relationships.
- Identify new customer opportunities, creating new customer profiles and win new business whilst aligning to Bunzl new business strategy.
- Maintain Territory by creating journey plans to ensure time is best utilised.
- Promoting exclusive lines, Bunzl Advantage and weekly delivery within schedule.
- Co-ordinate customer contracts and margins.
- Providing quotations identifying profitable growth opportunities.
- Onboarding customer to digital platforms to increase in call productivity.
- Responsible for the successful sales growth in line with the Company's objective, overall business plans, and strategies.
- Conducting monthly reviews of the relevant customer pipeline activity.
- Expected to be knowledgeable of market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
Skills and Experience:
Joining us as a New Business Development Manager, the minimum criteria you will need are:
- A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the HoReCa and Foodservice industry.
- Has developed and executed tactical sales plans including quotas and account objectives.
- Highly organised and has strong effective time management skills.
- Highly competent and computer literate with all Microsoft Office system.
- Experience required with utilising sales database tracking programs.
- Strong negotiating skills and capacity.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Equally strong listening skills.
- Highly customer focused.
- Highly efficient.
- Ability to set policies, but remain flexible when customer conditions require.
