Cpl are supporting our client partner who a heritage brand in the supply of Insulation Products to the Irish and International construction industries.

Overview

This is a full-time Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Technician role in Navan, working on a rotating shift pattern. The role supports insulation production, packaging, and manufacturing equipment to ensure optimum performance and achievement of operation goals.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, install and maintain equipment to support insulation production, packaging and manufacturing lines.
  • Provide day-to-day engineering services in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment.
  • Own zone/line performance and maintain/repair equipment and machinery.
  • Multitask and resolve on-site problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Provide cost-effective design solutions on a weekly basis for plant and equipment needs.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance documentation.
  • Deliver high-quality maintenance services to support production.
  • Ensure maintenance activities are safe, efficient, and aligned with the maintenance strategy; carry out planned work.
  • Maintain tool uptime above 95%.
  • Plan work activities to improve line zone performance in collaboration with the Supervisor/Lead technician.
  • Ideally proficient with PLC fault finding.
Qualifications
  • At least 3 years' trade experience as an Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance professional.
  • From a manufacturing environment (across multiple industries acceptable).
  • Food and/or Beverage processing background or FMCG, Bottling, Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical or related high-volume industries; Lean Six Sigma environment preferred.
  • Provide key engineering support to a busy production department with multiple high-speed lines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair damaged or underperforming equipment.
  • Assist in compiling and presenting technical feedback on engineering performance related to yield, downtime; propose improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines; multitasking capability.
  • National Craft Senior Trades Electrical or NFQ Mechanical electrical qualification is essential.
  • Flexibility to undertake other duties as assigned.
