As an experienced recruitment partner, I am pleased to present a fantastic opportunity for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a leading red meat production company in Carlow. If you are an experienced technician looking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform both preventative and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic faults to minimize downtime.
  • Carry out routine checks and inspections to ensure the efficient running of machinery.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to maintain optimal operation levels.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and support ongoing improvements in machinery performance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards in line with industry regulations.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, ideally within the food production or manufacturing sector (experience with red meat production is a plus).
  • Strong understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Experience with industrial machinery, PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.
