Position: EAP Counsellor

You will be part of a caring, supportive team focused on improving emotional wellbeing through brief, solution-focused counselling. Collaborating with the EAP Ireland team, you will provide real-time support to a diverse client base, impacting lives and advancing your career within an industry leader.

Working Schedule:
  • 24/7 Rotational Shifts available, Monday to Sunday
  • Full-time, permanent role (39 hours/week across 5 days)
  • Unsociable hours and weekends may be worked from home
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct virtual assessments and provide immediate support using a brief solution-focused approach
  • Deliver emotional wellbeing calls and refer clients to appropriate resources
  • Perform risk assessments and triage
  • Maintain case notes following clinical policies
  • Complete training modules and e-learning
  • Stay informed on relevant regulations and legislation
  • Participate actively in team meetings
  • Ensure customer expectations are met within emotional wellbeing boundaries
  • Engage in problem-solving and network building
  • Perform additional tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Ability to work rotational shifts in a 24/7 operation
  • Accreditation or supervised hours towards accreditation with a recognized counselling body, or a Master's degree (or higher) in Psychology with relevant coaching qualifications (EMCC/ICF)
  • Minimum Level 7 in Counselling or Psychotherapy
  • Proficiency with IT tools (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Teams)
  • Fluency in Italian, French, or German
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience in brief solution-focused counselling
  • Telephone/video counselling experience
Soft Skills:
  • Strong clinical judgement and confidentiality awareness
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, collaboration, cultural competency, interpersonal, self-care, time management, and organizational skills
