Senior Quantity Surveyor / PQS Firm

Hybrid - 2 / 3 days a week

Large building project €25m upward in value

Salary - Negotiable and Commensurate with your experience

Senior Quantity Surveyor – Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage QS responsibilities on projects, acting as the main client and design team contact.
  • Mentor and supervise junior team members, supporting their development and APC progression.
  • Prepare and review detailed cost plans, estimates, and tender documentation to a high level of accuracy.
  • Oversee and manage key project processes including:
  • Benchmarking and value engineering
  • Bills of Quantities (BOQ) production and measurement
  • Tender reviews, audits, and reports
  • Monthly valuations, variation assessments, and final accounts
  • Represent the company at client, design team, and site meetings, maintaining a high level of professionalism.
  • Contribute to business operations through involvement in marketing, business development, HR, or operations.
  • Ensure quality control through detailed knowledge of templates, software, and reporting systems.
  • Support contract administration and provide expert advice on contract conditions and project cost forecasting.
  • Lead post-contract activities including project monitoring, cost reporting, and reinstatement assessments.

Requirements:

  • Degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management
  • Proven extensive experience in a Senior Quantity Surveyor role on construction projects
  • Full eligibility to work in Ireland without Visa Sponsorship
