Quantity Surveyor Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the success of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage tender submissions and cost plans with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Conduct thorough feasibility studies and cost estimates to ensure project viability.
  • Develop and implement effective subcontractor procurement strategies and coordinate activities to meet project timelines.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks at early stages to prevent costly delays.
  • Provide comprehensive commercial management services from project commencement to final account.
  • Monitor project budgets and report on cost variances to ensure financial transparency.
  • Administer contracts, including change control, claims, and variations, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Carry out site valuations, interim applications, and agree final accounts with clients.
  • Oversee subcontractor accounts and payment certification processes.
  • Mentor and support junior surveyors, promoting professional growth and development.
  • Represent the company in client meetings and project reviews, fostering strong relationships and communication.

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience as a QS in a main contractor or large subcontractor environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish building contracts and regulations.
  • Excellent commercial acumen and cost control skills, with proficiency in measurement and cost reporting tools.
  • Full clean driving license.
