Job Description:

Our client is a specialised company who focus on chromatography, sample preparation, liquid handling & all related areas. They are seeking a Chromatography Sales Representative to be part of a specialised team with an already well-developed customer base. Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Chromatography Sales Representative will ensure delivery of targets by selling a strong Chromatography product portfolio from a range of highly recognised manufacturers.

Role/Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for identifying prospective customers of our clients Chromatography products and services within the defined geographical region.
  • A large portion of the role entails the servicing of existing accounts.
  • Expand market share for our clients Chromatography Product Portfolio.
  • Negotiate contracts and close orders with end users, purchasing departments and support all procurement processes.
  • Identify and interpret customer's requirements, align their requirements to our client's capabilities and apply our client's solutions to the customer's needs and effectively communicate these to customers.
  • Attend and support technical and business presentations, trade shows, user meetings, customer seminars and other customer events.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with your immediate colleagues in the Sales and Service groups to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction with our products and services.
  • Consistently meet assigned KPI's as set by sales management in driving commercial activities in the region.
Experience/Qualifications:
  • Degree level qualification in Chemistry, preferably with a strong sales or technical background in Chromatography.
  • Relevant experience in sales, be it capital analytical equipment or a consumables environment. Alternatively, a candidate with no sales experience but strong commercial awareness and lab experience for over 1 year with good knowledge of Chromatography would be considered.
  • A broad familiarity with the following industries: Pharmaceutical, Biopharma, Environmental, Food & Beverage, Research & general Life Science.
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong motivation to succeed.
  • Ability to learn and assimilate new information with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The position requires the ability to travel across a defined territory in Ireland.
  • Experience of attending conferences, trade shows, etc.
  • Hold a full, clean driving license.
