Job Description:

Working with the reservations manager and team, the ideal candidate for this role will be a confident, organised person who has excellent attention to detail and excellent guest care. A flexible attitude towards working hours is essential as midweek and weekend work is involved.

The Role:

Working with the reservations team to deliver excellent guest care, ensuring that the switchboard operation is conducted efficiently and professionally at all times, while assisting in the day-to-day running of the reservations office. The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Ensure a professional, friendly, and courteous service to all guests;
  • Work varying shifts 5 days over 7;
  • Promote the facilities and services offered by the resort;
  • Ensure that service is delivered according to established standards;
  • Accurately take bookings for outlets using the relevant system;
  • Communicate all information to relevant parties in a timely manner;
  • Develop strong working relationships with colleagues within your department and related departments.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
  • Exceptional guest care skills and attention to detail;
  • Self-motivated, trustworthy, enthusiastic, and polite;
  • Ability to complete projects and tasks within specified timeframes;
  • Knowledge of Opera Fidelio and channel management/revenue management tools is a plus;
  • Ability to upsell all resort departments;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
