Overview

La Rousse Foods specializes in the supply of fine foods to premium food establishments. Our own temperature-controlled logistics fleet ensures an efficient daily service to meet chefs' needs throughout Ireland. We offer a wide range of fresh, seasonal and innovative produce from a network of local and international producers. Food safety and quality are paramount; La Rousse Foods has been ISO 22000 accredited since 2009 and upgraded to FSSC 22000 in 2014. With our own butchery, cheese-maturing room and chocolate lab, La Rousse Foods can provide bespoke solutions at short notice to cater to our customers' ever-changing needs. Our demonstration kitchen hosts workshops, discovery lunches as well as suppliers' presentations and tastings. As a sponsor of Euro-Toques' Chef Development Initiative, we support their educational role by organizing master classes for both students and industry chefs.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative for our main warehouse including cheese room, chocolate lab and butchery in Park West. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to work in a fast-paced food environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Packing goods into warehouse
  • Assembling and checking orders for customers
  • Receiving cheese orders and checking for quality issues in packaging and cheeses
  • Enter orders into stock intake system
  • Cutting cheese to order
  • Ensure all stock is scanned at every stage of movement e.g., from Storage to Cutting Room and scanning out for shipment
  • Preparing outgoing shipments to tight deadlines
  • Preparing sample boxes for Sales Team
  • Selecting cheese that is perfectly ripe and in best condition for the customer
  • Assisting in butchery
