YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • As a CBRE Data Centre Technician, you will perform preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a Data Center operation.
  • Part of the Critical and Technical Services function, responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
  • Assist with daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • React to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Work with third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with company processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn't meet requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
  • Complete planned preventative maintenance (PM) and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to HVAC-related client problems.
  • Conduct building walkthroughs and take meter readings from UPS, PDU and utilities.
  • Provide fixes to facility and plant faults and defects.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures, follow safety requirements, and maintain comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of job responsibilities.
  • Follow defined procedures and processes under supervision and guidance.
YOUR PROFILE
  • Training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent; 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to work shifts that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
  • Ability to present information effectively to internal teams, clients, management and colleagues.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
  • Good communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills; ability to calculate simple figures (percentages, discounts, markups).
