Data Centre Operations Specialist

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Data Centre Mechanical Technician.
This role is based in Dublin, Ireland, and involves performing preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a data centre operation. As a critical member of the Critical and Technical Services function, you will be responsible for technical maintenance services in client environments.
Key responsibilities include assisting with daily site inspections of mechanical and engineering systems, servicing and maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe work environment. You will also react to Building Management System alarms and complete emergency repairs as needed, work with third-party vendors, and alert management to any non-compliance issues.
In addition, you will complete planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment, check BMS for running and alarm conditions, and respond to HVAC-related client problems. Your tasks may also include conducting building walkthroughs, taking meter readings, providing fixes to facility and plant faults, and maintaining comprehensive maintenance records.
To be successful in this role, you should have training in a technical discipline with an apprenticeship or equivalent, and 1-2 years of job-related experience. Ability to meet physical requirements, present information effectively, follow basic work routines, and possess good communication skills are also essential. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset are highly desirable.
