Reporting to local management, you will play a vital role in managing the day-to-day financial activities of the company. This is an opportunity to work closely with internal teams, head office, and auditors to ensure robust financial controls, timely reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will be key to delivering accurate accounts, efficient payroll processing, and insightful management reporting, supporting our client's ongoing success.

Responsibilities
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions, including income, expenditure, and expenses.
  • Manage accounts payable (supplier invoices and payments) and accounts receivable (customer invoicing).
  • Perform credit control to ensure healthy cash flow.
  • Oversee cash flow management and company bank accounts (online and offline).
  • Process payroll using Sage Payroll, managing both weekly and monthly payroll cycles.
  • Administer and manage the company's clock-in system for employee attendance.
  • Complete the monthly period-end routine in Pegasus Opera 3.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts, including Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, and Balance Sheet.
  • Prepare annual financial statements in collaboration with auditors.
  • Liaise with auditors to bring annual financial statements to completion.
  • Work collaboratively with existing members of the team, reporting to local management and providing regular updates.
  • Liaise with head office, supplying any additional ad hoc reports as required.
  • Manage all Revenue Online Services (ROS) submissions: VAT returns, payroll returns uploaded via Sage Payroll, verifying PAYE monthly statement of liability, VIES returns (monthly), corporation tax submissions, and managing payments via ROS Debit Instruction (VAT, PAYE, CT).
  • Prepare employment contracts for new employees when required.
  • Collaborate with pension brokers regarding existing and new pension members.
  • Assist with grant submissions to the Department of Social Protection.
Candidate Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, payroll processing, and general accounting functions.
  • Proficiency with Pegasus Opera 3, Sage Payroll, and Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with ROS (Revenue Online Services) for submitting VAT, Payroll, VIES, Intrastat, and Corporation Tax returns.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with management, auditors, head office, and external partners.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Relevant accounting/bookkeeping qualifications or part-qualified accountant status preferred.
Remuneration
