Job Summary:

We are seeking a Live Event Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, configuration, operation, and derig of video, audio, and lighting equipment for various events. This role requires troubleshooting technical issues, ensuring smooth operations during events, and providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Setup, configure, and derig video equipment for events.
  • Identify faults and solve technical problems with video and audio equipment.
  • Operate video, audio, and lighting equipment in pressured show environments.
  • Liaise with customers to assist with delivering presentations or meeting functions.
  • Lead crews as the representative onsite.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and mobility to meet business needs.
  • Safely keep equipment and vehicles allocated for duties.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties associated with the position.

Quality Management System Responsibilities

  • Comply with Company's Quality Management System requirements i.e. perform your work according to your process documents, procedures and maintaining document information/completing department forms/records as required.
  • Understand and apply our quality policy statements in all aspects of your work.
  • Contribute towards achieving company company objectives
  • Ensure that the needs and requirements of company's internal staff and customers are understood and delivered.
  • Help develop and improve the company's internal processes and management system by reporting corrective actions, updates and improvement ideas.

Abilities:

  • Good practical knowledge of wide range of audio and video equipment and software, including Barco and Analog Way switchers, Powerpoint, Qlab, Playback Pro, Digico, Allen & Heath & Yamaha digital audio desks, Novastar and MegaPixel LED processors, Panasonic AV and Blackmagic Atem Mixers.
  • Careful attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Highly motivated self-starter.
  • Ability to research and learn new technologies and equipment.

Licences/Certificates:

  • Avixa Org Event Industry qualification or similar desirable

Experience:

  • 3-4 years working as a technician in a live event environment
