Job Description Job: SeniorOccupational Therapist Location: Hybrid and onsite and region CHO3 in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary Contract Hours: Full time Permanent role Reporting to: Head of Clinical Services Overall Purpose of the Post: The Senior Occupational Therapist will work as a member of an Autism Specialist MTD Team to provide comprehensive Multidisciplinary autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnostic assessments and reports to children and their families residing in the Clare, Limerick and Noth Tipperary areas. These assessments and reports will be conducted under the PSI guidelines for ASD assessment, and diagnosis will be given based on the DSM-V or ICD-11 criteria and will be delivered by a team of suitably highly skilled, competent and experienced clinicians. The MTD team will be comprised of a Senior Psychologist, a Senior Speech & Language Therapist and a Senior Occupational Therapist. The post holder will work across a variety of settings including home, clinic and the childs home and their school. The post holder must meet specific qualifications and training criteria, adhere to assessment protocols, and maintain clinical accountability overseen by the Head of Clinical Services. The assessment process follows a structured format, encompassing document review, clinical interviews, observations, and comprehensive reporting, with feedback sessions and an element of intervention recommendations provided to families and children as appropriate. Applications from non-EEA qualifications or EEA qualifications of non-EEA nationals will be assessed in line with the processes of the validation unit of the Department of Health. Requirements: Professional: Hold a relevant qualification that is recognised and registered by CORU. Currently work as a Senior Occupational Therapist or meet the criteria of this grade Have specific training and experience and certification of the Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised (ADIR) and the Structured Play based Assessment diagnostic (ADOS) tools. Have up-to-date training certification in GDPR, Children First, Consent and Health and Safety General Possess excellent planning and organising skills that will equip the post holder to deliver a quantum of assessments, reports and feedback sessions within an agreed timeframe and within agreed key performance indicators. Services may be delivered across a range of settings including but not limited to clinic, home,education (including special educational placements) and community settings. Link directly with families and relevant professionals, make appointments and bookings as necessary and complete the relevant sections of the diagnostic report. Maintain appropriate service user records and statistics in accordance with Resilience Healthcare requirements and local guidelines, Freedom of Information Act, Data Protection Acts and other relevant legislation. To work in a safe manner with due care and attention to the safety of self and others and to adhere to local and national Risk Management policies including reporting of incidents, accidents and near misses. To comply with policies and procedures of Resilience Healthcare To promote and deliver services within Resilience Healthcares family principles and within a model of trauma-informed care. Quality Assurance To ensure safe, effective and efficient service delivery. To anticipate potential consequences of decisions being taken, and to consider precedence in order to ensure consistency. To use logical analysis to break down complex problems into their component parts. To promote and consistently support the demonstration and development of evidence based service delivery. Engage in audits related to the processes of the service using a standardised audit tool.
