Our client, a stunning hotel based in Galway, have a new opening that has arisen for a Financial Controller to join their team at this time. This is an opportunity to work with a great brand in the hospitality space. Your Role: - Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and optimize financial performance. - Oversee financial planning, analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and internal control. - Work closely with the General Manager to achieve finance objectives and meet deadlines. - Collaborate with other departments to drive cost efficiencies and maximize profitability. - Prepare monthly management accounts, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports. - Coordinate weekly financial reports, including payroll stats and revenue forecasts. - Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and timely submission of audit books, VAT returns, payroll taxes, etc. Your Profile? - 3-5 years of accounting experience, ideally in hospitality - Ideally experience leading a finance/accounting team. - Proficiency in MS Office, advanced Excel, and accounting software. - Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, negotiation, and communication skills.
