We are seeking to recruit an exceptionally skilled Echocardiographer who shows evidence of excellent clinical ability, able to provide clinical leadership and is keen to develop managerial skills. We are looking for an Enthusiastic, Hardworking, and Motivated Echocardiographer to join a well-established, friendly, growing Cardiology department in Cork. Details: This busy Cardiology Department provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic examinations at both inpatient and outpatient level. The Cardiology Department Team is dedicated to the highest standard of healthcare provision. There is a strong, dynamic, and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team in the Cardiology Department. Key Responsibilities: Performing and reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms to a high standard on inpatients, outpatients. Perform resting ECGs, Exercise treadmill testing, both medical and Physiologist led Fit and analyse of ambulatory ECG and BP recordings To support the training and mentoring of junior Cardiac Physiologists, trainees and medical colleagues. Be responsible for managing own caseload and for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of cardiac diagnostic services for service users according to service standards and best practice. To take on an array of management responsibilities including the day to day supervising of the echo department. Requirements: Possess an equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science awarded in or before 2005 Possess a B.Sc. in Clinical Measurement Science or equivalent qualification. Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in a busy acute hospital, with demonstrated ability to work independently in Non-Invasive and Echocardiography. Ability to work Independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Strong leadership skills and a Commitment to continuous professional development. Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Leadership and Management ability include the ability to manage a team and facilitate staff development by providing support such as supervising, mentoring, coaching and formal development planning. An ability to adapt their management style to suit the demands of the situation and the people involved.
