Role Title: Senior Finance Business Partner Role Location: Dublin Company: Vhi Group DAC A permanent fulltime vacancy has arisen for the role of a finance business. The successful candidate will support the VHI Group & Insurance entities and will be based in Dublin. This position will be a financial leader and drive the commercial performance of VHI through excellent Finance Business Partnering. Benefits: Hybrid working opportunities Health Insurance Performance related pay Company pension And many more Role Purpose Decision Support and Commercial Partnering Working closely with Group Services Execs and Insurance Execs to make a strong strategic, commercial and operational contribution to the success of VHI; Provide excellent business partnering, earning a place at the decision making table and taking ownership for business and financial performance; Add value through data analysis and insights that improve understandings of the implications of certain decisions; Drive the delivery of commercial insights within business units, educating and building financial acumen; Support effective resource allocation to optimize costs through efficient workforce planning; Deliver presentations of financial information or ad-hoc analyses up to and including executive; Provide guidance and commercial expertise to investment cases and develop financial models to enable accurate evaluation of business cases and other strategic initiatives ensuring payback periods, NPV, IRR etc. are strong and investments are aligned to strategic priorities; Provide guidance and commercial expertise to ensure contractual agreements deliver the greatest value for the organisation Drive a culture from Senior Leadership and throughout all levels of the business supporting a cost agenda. Champion value for money across the Group through business partnering ensuring that business units have a deep understanding their operational, investment spends ensuring operational efficiency and the greatest business value is achieved Support the Head of group commercial finance on ad hoc tasks and projects as required and support the lead with implementing development plans for more junior members of the team; Financial Planning, Reporting and Analysis Support the development of the annual financial plan, quarterly forecasting process and long term planning projections, working closely General Undertake external analysis such as industry benchmarking and competitor analysis; Have a detailed knowledge around external coverage of the health insurance industry. Keep up to date on best in class data and system solutions; Assist in ad hoc business and finance projects as and when required; Education & Experience A third-level accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA); Minimum three years PQE with relevant experience desireable; Experience gained in a health insurance or healthcare organisation would be a distinct advantage. Demonstrated alignment to Vhi values Skills and Abilities Technical: Commercially focused, with a track record of identifying opportunities and successfulling implementing process improvements or other strategic projects; Advanced Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Tableau and other financial and data visualisation software; A strong emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy; Deep understanding of the business drivers of a commercial organisation, health insurance or healthcare being a distinct advantage.
