Job Title: Junior Underwriter Location: Dublin City Junior Underwriter wanted for Global Reinsurance Company-Dublin City Abrivia are currently recruiting for a Junior Underwriter to join our client, a Global Reinsurance Company, working on their Commercial Underwriting team. The role will report directly into the Underwriting Manager. The successful candidate will have a background in Non-Life Insurance, and they will have ideally worked in an Underwriting or Claims role. This role is 3 days in the office and 2 from home Your Role: Supporting the process of proportional & non-proportional Underwriting including new business and renewals. Active participation in the Underwriting process to ensure data accuracy and preparation of information for review Preparation of client visits and audits Administrative support to the Underwriters regarding claims assessment. Administrative support to the Underwriters regarding technical accounting solutions Ensure underwriting data integrity, file administration and update of treaties and market data including the entry of data into our IT system. Main contact for compliance and client due diligence queries Responsibility to create and maintain an up-to-date client contact register. Your Skills: Business Degree, preferably with a specialisation in Finance, Insurance/Reinsurance or International Business Good understanding of Insurance and/or Reinsurance terms and structures. Fluent English. Additional language advantage but not necessary Willingness to travel Willingness to learn and to have a long-term interest in working and developing in a leading international reinsurance company.
