Realtime are hiring for a Senior Data Manager (Director level) to lead and advance the data management initiatives, with a focus on financial instrument data critical to a trading environment. The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of professional experience in financial data management or a trading-related role, with an in-depth understanding of financial instruments and data governance. This role will involve ensuring data integrity, optimizing data management systems, and collaborating across departments to align data capabilities with business needs. Key Responsibilities Data Integrity & Quality: Oversee the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial instrument data supporting trading and investment activities. System Enhancement: Lead the enhancement of data management platforms, ensuring systems are scalable, resilient, and capable of supporting high-stakes trading environments. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the trading, IT, compliance, and risk management teams to ensure data processes align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Data Governance: Establish and enforce data governance policies to maintain data quality and ensure compliance with industry standards. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data workflows, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors. Mentorship and Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of data specialists, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 10 years in financial data management or a trading-related environment, with significant experience handling financial instrument data. Technical Skills: Proficiency in data management tools and systems (e.g., SQL, data lakes, and cloud platforms); experience with financial data vendors (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) is highly desirable. Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex data workflows. Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop staff. Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Preferred Skills Experience in a trading or quantitative research environment.
