We organize and operate our business in two geographic regions: the United States (U.S.) and International. We directly market our products in approximately 45 countries across North America, Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia and South America. Our products are sold in more than 100 countries, including developed markets and emerging markets. Operations outside the U.S. accounted for approximately 46% of our total revenue for the year ended December 31, 2023. We are looking for an experienced and motivated International Controller to join our global Controller organization and help drive consistency and accuracy of the accounting, reporting, internal controls and balance sheets of our International Operations. This newly created role will have a strong focus on the standardization and simplification of accounting policies and processes across the International segment, supporting strategic initiatives including the alignment of the International reporting calendar, and supporting initiatives to implement optimal structures to drive efficiencies. Your Key Responsibilities: To be a critical liaison between the global Controllers organization and our International Finance function and cluster leadership on all matters related to international controllership Work closely with regional and functional controllers and finance support to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency in consolidated accounting, reporting and other key Controllership items throughout the organization. Challenge the current processes and lead initiatives to drive simplification, automation and value creation, especially as it relates to our alignment of the International reporting calendar. Provide support and "dotted-line" oversight to the individual market controllers throughout the International Operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with US GAAP and SEC reporting. Manage process excellence and compliance governance across accounting policy and balance sheet accounts throughout International Drive and deploy standardization, simplification and automation of financial processes and accounting policy compliance within the International segment, working closely with Global Controllership, International Finance and Zoetis Shared services. Partner with regional operations and global shared service centers to support accounting and internal control excellence Ensure the accuracy and completeness of the balance sheet and related reconciliations, and identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues. Participate in the cluster balance sheet reviews and advise global controllership on the implications of pending business transactions. Support the quarterly and annual audit process including activities of the external auditors to facilitate audits and reviews of the International entities Drive standardization and foster best practice sharing amongst the teams. Participate in special projects and initiatives related to the International finance function, such as systems implementations, process improvements, calendar and close improvement, process improvements, acquisitions, etc. Preferred Qualifications: University degree in Accounting or related field required CPA or International equivalent preferred. 10 + years post qualification experience in a combination of public accounting and public company progressively responsible accounting roles Strong experience and knowledge of U.S. GAAP and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting, accounting policy, international accounting standards, as well as internal controls, including Sarbanes-Oxley compliance Business partnering experience with senior executives. Experience in driving continuous improvement initiatives. Solid knowledge of financial processes and systems. Digital fluency: understanding of technology, data, and automation. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
