Job Description Position: EBS Mortgage Advisor. Full time permanent position. Location: EBS Clonakilty, Co. Cork Company: EBS Clonakilty (JJH Financial Services DAC is the Tied Branch Agent) Job Overview: As a Mortgage Advisor, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers with their mortgage needs. Youll provide expert advice, guide them through the mortgage process, and help them make informed decisions. Your goal is to ensure a smooth and successful mortgage application experience for our customers. Responsibilities of this Role: Customer Consultation: Meet with customers to understand their financial situation, goals, and preferences. Assess their eligibility for a mortgage by analysing the customers financial situation. Provide expert advice based on their needs. Credit assessment: Gather the customers documents and write a credit report. Submit this report directly to our underwriters whilst keeping the customers updated as their mortgage journey continues. Communicate directly with underwriters on any clarifications. Cross sales: Link the customers in with Allianz for House Insurance quotes and Irish Life for Mortgage protection. Mortgage Drawdown: Once a customer has a property identified, assist the customer in getting a Letter of Offer. Facilitate funds drawdown once contracts have closed. Build Customer Relationship: Build strong relationships with customers, providing ongoing support throughout the mortgage journey. Grow your referral base in the locality. Compliance and Regulations: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., Consumer Protection Code, Central Bank guidelines, EBS policies and procedures). Other: May be required to provide cash services or be required to open accounts from time to time. Qualifications and Skills: Qualifications:QFA (Qualified Financial Advisor) designationis ideal, however APAd in Loans is the minimum qualification for this role. Experience: Experience in providing mortgage advice and dealing with mortgage customers face-to-face and/or processing applications is preferable but not essential. Customer First Approach: Ability to build rapport with customers and provide exceptional service. Team Player:Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Expertise:Pride in being a Mortgage Expert. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. IT Skills: Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for mortgage calculations. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in assessing financial documents and ensuring accuracy.
